SWSA commissioned an independent consulting company to carry out a feasibility study into the possibility of creating a Watersports Hub in Stranraer which was completed during 2020. SWSA have now secured funding for a Full Business Case to further develop the concept. SWSA have been working closely with the council and community groups on a concept to bring The Water Sports Hub project and the Marina development to complement each other for the benefit of the local community of Stranraer, in the creation of “One Waterfront”.

The feasibility study helped develop the designs and high level business plan for running a Water Sports Hub and active beach concept. The full business case gets us closer to planning application stages.
